The TACT Program

The TACT Program

The Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks (TACT) program was created in 2004 to reduce the number of truck-related crashes and fatalities on the roads by educating drivers on safe driving. The TACT program is based on nationwide resources and provides a framework for states that wish to create a more visible traffic enforcement program. Some states are already involved in the program and other states have their own similar program, but other states have still yet to implement these types of educational programs.

At TBS Factoring Service, LLC, we work directly with a range of trucking clients and care about their safety and the security of their businesses. We offer a range of truck factoring services to meet the needs of almost any freight company. Contact our offices today at 800-207-7661 to speak with a representative.

Purpose of the TACT Program

The TACT program aims to educate drivers of commercial vehicles as well as passenger cars about the dangers of certain driving behaviors, including:

  • Aggressive driving
  • Speeding
  • Tailgating
  • Failure to signal
  • Failing to yield
  • Unsafe lane changing

By helping motorists become more aware of safe driving procedures, individual states can help reduce serious accidents that can cause injuries and fatalities. This can, in turn, help to prevent your business from experiencing undue financial distress attributable to preventable accidents.
