• There were 3,733 fatal truck crashes, involving 4,066 vehicles and killing 4,229 people
• .9 percent of truck drivers involved in fatal crashes were under the influence of alcohol
• .7 percent of truck drivers involved in fatal crashes had a BAC greater than the legal limit of 0.08.
• 42,000 trucks were involved in crashes that caused property damage only
